Ohlins internals for Showa on 1098?

Could anyone tell me the price and where you got them?

I've got a 1098 base with Showa forks that blew apart a month and a half ago and now the dealer is telling me that Ducati might not be able to get the replacement internals until who knows when.

I'm looking mostly for whatever option will get my bike on the road the fastest and cheapest, so far I think getting Ohlins internals for those forks will be it but have no solid information yet.

Thanks,

Dan Kyle, had the 25mm cart kit but got it on a deal because I got the 25mm/TTX cart kit for $2000 USD. $15 for shipping. Dan has bought all remaining 25mm cart kits as the 30mm kits are out. I paid 1.5hr labor and $50 for oil on the installation.

Ok, thanks for the response. That's way out of my range, I just want the damn bike to be on the road for when I do get home. Anything over two grand and i'd just order the MV Augusta Castiglioni spec Marzochhi forks for three grand.

I know that it might sound far fetched but I have sent a couple of forks (Japanese bikes) to Max and his team and have nothing but praises for the quality their service and work. Even shipping from Canada, it was comparable to local work but I got top notch suspension work. You could give them a call and see if they can help you out.

Good luck with your bike.

I might have to think of some new ideas. I'm working out west for another week, been here for four already. I called to get an update on my bike and just found out about the trouble getting a new set of stock internals. It sucks when I'm not home to do anything myself.

Yeah, I took a look in Ebay and found the same thing. Shitty end to this saga if after five weeks sitting in a shop that's the route I have to go.

1050 for the Ohlins kit is way cheaper than I've seen anywhere so far though.

I'm really getting pissed now, I'm thinking of insuring the crappy 400 Yammy just to get riding, then switch to the SS when I get the new motor and tank installed, then the 1098 when they eventually get a the fork kit in. Not that it matters, I'm probably working out west until summer anyway.
