I'M IN DISPAIR... I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT MY PALM FOR ONE SECOND.... can anyone give me some advice pleeease??

I installed Shadow Outline software last week on my T3 which has crashed almost every day and forced soft resets. I was trying to perform a simple link from one one outline list to another and the screen went weird and the whole thing hard reset itself wiping it clean.

I then set it up for an immediate sync with the desktop (assuming this would put everything beack on) half way through I (perhaps stupidly) clicked CANCEL a short way through as i wanted to adjust one of the conduit settings first.

It's now frozen in a state where I have the Palm logo screen and a Fatal Alert messsage: SystemMgr.c, Line:5852 SysLinkerStub():Failed to load shared library.

If I press reset it does nothing

If I press or hold the on/off button nothing happens, it wont swicth off and has been constantly on for 15 minutses so far

If I make it soft reset, the screen goes off, then on again with the same Fatal Alert message

If I hold the stylus in the hole for a hard reset (assuming that's what I do) then I just get the message again.

Is there anyone else with any advice?

Luckily it's just under a year since I bought it so may still be under standard guarantee but I bet i'll have to be without it for weeks of painful seperation!

Hard Reset is actually holding down the power button whilst pressing the reset pin. You must then select yes. I would be suprised if a hard-reset didn't work.

Thanks for relying - I may not have written clearly but I was hard resetting correctly and still getting the message.

Now though after a lot of fiddling around and a bit of resuss' it came through.

I had to invest in 3 hours of reloading only the key software so as to advoid the offending file but at least it's nice starting all fresh again.

Yes I did panic but we all love our Palms dont we!;)
