Official: New Prodigy album leaked

Meh... again...

Ok been a fan of the Prodigy since around ~ 91... and they (Liam) are my favorite act...

Wow I was gone all 4th of July weekend and got back last night to see a friend instant messaged me with the text "Prodigy-Always_Outnumbered_Never_Outgunned-Promo-CD-UTE"

Needless to say, I had him FXP it to my FTP, took a shower, then burned it right to CD and put it in my stereo... Klipsch pc speakers / SB Live Audigy 2 won't do it justice. I then turned off all the lights, turned off the cell phone etc... and listened to it once. I really didn't know what to think. I thought it would honestly have more of a hip hop feel to it after Girls and Dirtchamber... I thought that was the direction Liam was going in. I thought he kind of left the "punk" influence alone.

I didn't want to post after my first listen... cause honestly it wouldn't have been a good review... but now after listening to it 3 times on my stereo (a bit too overpowering), my pc 2 times, my car once (8 speakers 460W), and pc at work 2 times (underpowered lol)... I have to say I really enjoy it.

As for the sound quality of the promo or rip of it, there is a lot to be desired. First of all the scene standard of 192kbps LAME encoded MP3s does not do this album justice. It's one of the rare cases, when you can tell too much dynamic range has been lost, yielding a somewhat muddy sound. This will not be the case with the retail CD.

Another thing we might see with the release of the album, is how the songs are mixed together. There seems to be a few cases where the songs do not flow into each other and there is a rough start/stop between songs. Some are better than others, but that will change.

Shoot Down is not complete... the song would never end like that, even more so since it's the album's closer. I could easily see the release version of that song being around 6 minutes with a proper outro.

Bonus track? Possible for the Japanese release, but I doubt there would be a hidden track on UK/US releases. I can't understand why "No Souvenirs" is not on this album. It is by far the most wanted track... maybe going to release it after the album as a single? BGAT style of release... maybe "last of the AONO era music"? lol Either that or maybe there are some issue's between the two record companies... or maybe 3D wants it for the next Massive album since 100th was a bit of a let down haha... or maybe Liam knew how overhyped the song was and thought it wouldn't live up to expectations.

Well I love the album, it's a grower in every sense... I doubt anyone listened it for the first time and was blown away. There are some really huge tracks on here, I'll keep my 1-10 ratings for the album to myself, enough of those already.

But I would give the album an 85% out of a 100 right now. To get it into the 90s, it would need an epic track... which it lacks, nothing over 6 minutes here... Also adding No Souvenirs would probably push it over the edge. (also just toss in that over the last 2 years I've been getting into Electro (Kittin, Felix, etc...) so my score might be a bit biased on that fact)

As bad as it sounRAB to say, this album probably has the biggest shot of being accepted by the masses and being a commerical hit. It might start a small musical revolution if played by the right people. Don't get me wrong, I do not want to see the Prodigy on TRL ... but I think this sound has the possibilty of doing that

Great job Liam, hope you are reading these comments. Now just come out with Dirtchamber Sessions Vol 2... Vol1 is still my favorite comp. album ever... loved the Breezeblock with the Beatles track too Now just make another Breezeblock > Dirtchamber.

I was also hoping for another Jilted... but that was over a decade ago... music has changed, and so had Liam. It would sound so out of place today if MFTJG2 came out... I guess even an epic track wouldn't fit in with this collection of songs. I love it... couldn't really see any other direction for Liam to successfully take the Prodigy after listening to AONO over and over...

Action Radar, Hotride, Girls, Wake Up Call are standouts...

... and Memphis Bells is better with lyrics. If people are wondering why Princess Superstar was picked... she's good frienRAB with Kool Keith... and we know about Keith and Liam. She has done some nice songs with Keith.

Ok I'm done now... for a bit atleast

I still don't understand how anyone can think girls and that other song were any good. I'm all for having a wide range of musical tastes but those were just really really bad. I bet this albums gets overplayed in every shitty eurotrash dance club in the world. Enjoy!

babys got a temper sucked...

this album sucks...

and i was a die-hard prodigy fan who loved everything they put out, sucky or not (even that music they threw on the porn - uranus experiment 3)

i am thoroughly dissapointed. 1/10

music for the jilted generation was awesome too. i even liked fat of the land. i was mediocre on the prodigy presents, but this is just terrible garbage
