Official Blackberry Cricket Service Books

As "hacked" by to0 and myself, these cricKet service books will enable web and mms on a properly "flashed" blackberry.

Propz to all those that were able to accomplish the same thing (you know who you are) and everyone that has worked with me on anything.


Wanted these properly posted for once..... ok on to what you need to do.

1) Flash the phone normally and program the data settings (EVDO tab in workshop, QXDM, QPST, etc)

2) Put the phone in Legacy mode (google is your friend)

3) Open Blackberry Desktop Manager (if not already) and click on "Backup/Restore" then "Advanced"

4) Now click File/Open and choose the attached service books and click the arrow pointing right

Now you have proper wap and mms on your cricKet flashed blackberry.

*note* Sprint and Alltel phones will require an IOTA bypass that will have to be obtained elsewhere.

Please do not blow up my PM box with support questions, questions regarding bypass, how to obtain SPC on newer blackberries, etc as they will go unanswered.

Hi, I have follow the guide to flash my 8330. I got WEB working, send picture mail but did not received picture mail. Could any point me to the right direction to fix this problem.

The *228 not working and I program manually. The phone from Verizon

I asked them refresh like 5 time from yesterday

The SID they giving me is 5031 and I change to 4279 and finally to 1234 and it working now but the pic mail is funny. Some time I got it right away, some time like 30' late. Some time received the pic mail and sometime is just the text and not even the link to download. But I'm happy for now.

Gents- I was able to successfully flash my 9530 over to cricket in Pittsburgh, PA with the help of this forum. I want to say thank you for the posts and instructions.

I am now working on getting internet and mms to work. I see the services books posted here with instructions. One problem for me is getting legacy mode to work. I am holding num key until it locks and pressing 4?2? with no luck. I also tried ?818 with no result. When I connect up to desktop manager and select the service books under the file menu i get "the data was not recognized by the desktop"? Any help is greatly appreciated.
