consensus on climate change...? Of the handful of scientists out there who still disagree with the scientific consensus on climate change, 1) which ones also denied the harmful effect of second-hand smoke? 2) Did any of these guys receive cash payment from the tobacco companies? 3) Which deniers also denied the scientific basis of ozone depletion? 4) Which deniers also dispute evolution? 5) Have any of the deniers received cash payment from the oil and coal industries? 6) Does it matter that the coal and gas industries fund the celebrity deniers? (Remember, these industries are responsible for a large portion of greenhouse gas emissions through the combustion of their products.) 7) Is this an ad hominem attack, or a legitimate concern?

The "handful" of scientists you mention are predominately climatologists . Many of the "thousands" of scientists who agree with global warming are podiatrists, chemists and many others who don't know a thing about climatology.

Amazing that your understanding is the exact opposite of reality.

Last spring, the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine held a press conference yesterday announcing that 31,000 scientists had signed a petition rejecting the notion of man-created global warming. The problem is, most of these people aren’t even scientists.

You can add Exxon’s hired science assassins McIntyre and McKitrick to your list.

I was attacked by them during the early part of this decade because I had coauthored a couple of scientific papers with someone they really wanted to discredit.

You can check out McIntyre’s anti-warming web site at: http://www.climateaudit.org/

Even though it's been several years, I just Googled my name through his site’s search engine. It produced 14 pages of listings – every hit is about something he was bitching at or ragging on me about.

Hmm... and how many "believers" get paid because they're on the right side of believing?

Ask William Gray, and get back to us.
