While snorkeling alone in a secluded inlet just around the point from White Beach, I encountered a school of small fish which were bi-colored red and blue. The fish were red in the front half, blue in the rear, as if a red fish and a blue fish had been cut in half and glued together again. There were hundreds of them, and as I swam into the school, they showed no fear and started nibbling everywhere on my skin. As they were only 2" long, I was just bemused and delighted. I have searched the internet and asked ichthyologists for the species to no avail. I have ascertained that the type of fish is known as a "cleaner" or "gleaner" fish, but no further information. Anyone?
