I'm pregnant & I have occasional sharp pains in my lower abdomen... I talked to my Doctor & she assured me that as long as they aren't persistent they are normal. However they still really bother me. Has anyone else had this happen? Is it as normal as she claims? How can you stop them from happening?
Ah yes, I suppose I could have started it this morning by jumping out of bed so quickly. Everything I read says "Don't get out of bed too fast." but it was happening last night & I was wondering if it was perhaps caused by how I was sitting. The Doctor's guess is that I'm about 10 weeks... so there is ALOT of growing happening in there currently. There is no bleeding or anything, everything else is completely normal aside from that little nagging pain every so often... Thanks for your answers they are appreciated.
You know I've got to be honest & say that it's quite disheartening that people are coming to answer my question of their own free will, while at the same time as being "helpful" they are being judgemental & almost hurtful. If you think of yourself as a complete stranger & find it "frightening" that I am seeking out advice from more than one source, why bother trying to help me? It's not very fair to make that sort of judgement at all & if I were you I wouldn't even bother to post. I asked a simple question & I am getting knocked for it, it's very unfair. Like I said, if you want to judge me & say how "strange" it is that I am here asking a question, so be it - but there's no need to post about it. Is there? Afterall, this is Yahoo Answers.
I am not ignoring my Doctor's advice I am simply a very nervous person who would like to see how other women dealt with their problems.
