I have a 1992 Chevy Cheyenne 4x4 4.3L v6. I have tryed a "inn0va 3123 GM ECM/CCM/ABS code reader" I get ABSOLUTELY no flashing lights just a solid Check gauges light. I have also tryed the "paperclip" method same thing.
The only thing i knoticed different during both technics is a sound eminating from near my throttle body a constant clicking or ticking i beleive the sound is coming from the engines computer. the truck runs but back fires and stalls out when taking off , turning the steering wheel, and reversing.
I bought this truck as a fixeruper it had been sitting for two years i replaced Fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, distributor Rotar, Changed the oil and filter. The only problem i have it when it stalls out. if you have any idea what may be wrong let me know.
Oh yes i forgot to mention ive been driving this vehical for about 2 weeks and put about 1000 miles on it. Its riding at about 400 miles from 190k.
