Also employer based health insurance is very hard to get in such poor economy. Jobs being lost, and so the laid off workers lose their own health insurance.
Every laid off person is increasing the count of people who have no health coverage. If the uninsured can't see doctor, where will they go?
They will go to ER, and the ER will be used as doctor's office even though it supposed to for life threatening or very serious conditions. And then they don't pay the ER bill and insurance costs rise further.
