I know nothing of his itinerary this week or if he really blew off the Speaker and the Senate majority leader.

That said, if he had stayed and met with Boehner or Reid or both, would you have considered voting for him in 2012? I wouldn't have voted for Bush if he had put up a bed in the Oval Office and worked 18 hours a day without a single trip to Crawford. I don't think moderates are very easily swayed by these little non-stories one way or the other. So I'm sure he does realize how bad this looks...to people looking for reasons to hate him.
