I'm considering purchasing an 03 Honda CR-V w/97,000 miles on it for $8800. KBB quotes a this car in fair condition as $8900. I'm contacting a private seller for this one, when I inquired about the vehicle they advised that the O2 sensor may need to be replaced and they agreed to meet me at a mechanic shop to have a diagnostic check. My question is...is there a red flag that should go up...is there something more that might be wrong just knowing that the O2 sensor is not good? And is a diagnostic check necessary?
Oh and if you cannot tell...I don't know too much about cars. Lol. I just want to be confident when purchasing this one, so any information would really help!
Thanks in advance!
