My 5 month old and I were in a serious car accident. we were transported to the hospital by ambulance. My son was competely neglected he was not even assessed, I suffered 4 broken bones and even though I was in pain I told them like 4 times he needed assesed because he hit his head. They then falsified the nursing notes saying the father refused care, that he was happy, that the car seat was intact...all this is not true. I went to administration, the president and reported it to the board of nursing and nothing has been done. I am a nurse myself and have been taught that nurses notes are legal documents and it is illegal to falsify them. I have contacted lawyers and they say since he wasn't hurt I do not have a case. I know he had a concussion. It just seems like the nurses broke the law, they also violated the hippa law by letting a witness call in my room. I just need to know what can be done.
