so, this IS only come and go types of actual numbness with NO loss of sensory what so ever OTHER than when these 'episodes" that just 'happen"? have you at least seen a good neurologist for this yet? if not, what i would do if this were me would be to just have this evaled by your primary doc than have him actually send you for a c spine on down type of contrasted MRI being done? to have 'just' the upper or 'just" the lower would be more common with this type of numbness appearing, when someone simply has some level of actual spinal disc or nerve root issue going on? to actually have BOTH upper and lower extremitys involved here and episodic like you are having could be some level of actual spinal cord involved issue in there. that is just something that HAS TO be ruled in or out at this point. this would just be the most likely and more common place where this could easily occur in a person. while there ARE other things that could create this, with some within the brain level? it would really be a good thing to at the very LEAST here have the contrasted MRI done on if not the whole spinal, at least that c spine level? the issue would simply HAVE to be within that c spine level(if this just IS a real spinal issue) to actually do what you are having going on at the very same time? it really would not be a lower spinal issue ONLY if the numbness is occuring within ALL extremitys at the very SAME TIME. but you DO definitely need a good in depth look at that whole c spine level for certain. if the issue is not there, then a possible look into the brain with a contrasted MRI would be the next step here? or he could simply write an order to have both your c spine and the brain MRIed using contrast too and save time and hassle by seeing both possible areas that just can generate this specific type of symptom in a person? its just a really needed type of test that i would make certain your doc simply does for you here soon.
are you having ANY actual pain or ANY other possible symptoms or signs showing at all? FB
