I have recently been facing a nuraber of health challenges. One that seems related to this board is my legs going totaly nurab from the top down mostly on the front side when I do activities. The scary part is it is no longer going away in between episodes. I am also currently booked for a biopsy to check for cancer in a nuraber of rather large swollen lymph nodes in my lower back/groin area (up to 4.1CM). Can this relate to cancer? I don't have terrible sciatic pain at this time but I have in the past.

I wanted to acknowledge your post but cannot offer any comments. Back pain and sciatic-type pain that radiate down the leg or legs is often from a problem in the spine, but it can also be a symptom of other issues as well. I think your best bet would be to discuss this with the specialist who is managing your other health issues.

It is certainly possible to have a tumor located either in a bone of the spine, or in the soft tissue in the spinal area that can cause symptoms similar to a herniated disc with resulting sciatic pain. Pain that runs down the front of the thigh is often referred from the lurabar 3 or 4 segment of the spine.

Good luck to you. I hope you will be able to find some answers.
