I don't want to get into too much medical history, but my cheek is numb, technically the right side of my face, but mainly my cheek descending to my jaw (I have a neuro appt in a few hours, had a regular appt yesterday); I have a history of migraine; I'm wondering if I'm clenching my jaw or if I could have a pinched nerve in my neck. I also just re-started Topamax, which is a strong contender here.
Anyhow, I've had odd things like this a few times in the past 5 years and it's all been checked out and basically called "migraine" but I was just curious about any nerve stuff.
I know about the stroke indicators, but this seems to be neuropathic. Anyhow, I'm getting checked out so don't worry about stroke. Thanks : )
Hi, Yes, I had a blinding migraine that resulted in a central retinal vein occlusion. Since then I've been in a migraine cycle with all kinds of visual disturbance, dizziness, fatigue, etc. But ... I've been checked for absolutely everything: MS (two MRIs were clear), inflammatory processes, lupus, ... I've been checked by a hematologist, cardiologist (mitral valve prolapse), obviously the neurologists and ophthalmologists. ANA has never been elevated.
