of other right wing rants? We now know that the push for end of life counseling was put forth by Republicans, and now many of those same people are calling it a death panel? What gives?
Vague footnotes? End of life counseling is not a vague footnote. It has been an issue that health care professionals have been pushing for a long time.
Great Mutt. You make my point for me, reality has nothing to do with the right wing rants, its all about the ranting, nothing about the content.
Yes, the right to have end of life counseling was removed. That means that if you want it you have to pay cash for it because now it is not covered. He just saved the insurance companies millions because they do not want to pay for counseling.
So you lost a benefit and you don't even know it.
You’ll note later on in the report that the CBO also goes on to the point that savings in the long term could be substantial.
Shouldn’t we be looking at the long term? It took us 50 years to get into this mess, it might take us 20 or more to get us out.
The Republican and fiscal conservative obsession with short term costs seems to be nothing but political, especially when few of those same folks in the last 8 years cared about upping the Pentagon’s budget, not counting any of the Iraq/Afghanistan costs and giving people tax cuts during war time. I find it disingenuous at best, especially when we all know that the health care problems absolutely needs to be fixed or else it’ll just be more costly next year, the year after that for how long until we finally do something..
Yeah Mutt, satire, the last refuge of a defeated wit.
