A lady brought a bell in to where I worked today. She said her son found it at a cemetery and fell in love with it. It definitely looks like some kind of military bell. It's a dark green, some kind of metal, and rusted in some places. There are also little notches on the sides of it, as if someone took a blade and slashed upward. There were three sets of four notches, then five notches, and then six.
This may be nothing and I'm just looking too much into a pointless thing. But does anyone know anything about bells in the war? Did they play a part? Do you think the notches stand for anything? I don't know. It just intrigued me and I thought I'd ask.
