Not the "F" word...

Ok, so I'm pretty much flunking out of anatomy. I would just drop it if I didn't need it as a core class for my major. So, I went to the professor for that class and he told me to either give up and re-take it next fall, get a Com. Dis. minor, or pick a new major altogether. I'm not made of money! If I re-take the class in the fall I lose out on a whole year because I can't take upper level classes until I pass with a high enough GPA (Which is a B average in the 4 core classes.) and they only offer each class one semester a year.

I also just talked to the chair of the department who just happens to be my anatomy teacher because I want to take 20 credits in order to make up for the credits I'll be missing out on and he won't sign the fucking paper to allow me to. My advisor signed it. Why the fuck can't he just let me do what I want? He's not my advisor. He must die. :soldier: :axe:

20 credits isn't so bad but I imagine that you are being barred from doing it because you can't or haven't even passed the anatomy course. They want to make sure you get a chance to fully grasp the material rather than just going through the motions.

I say drop the course and retake it next year. In the mean time, keep the book and read it throughly. When you go to take the class again you'll score much higher.

Drop it and hope for the best.
Core courses are so lame anyway. I had to drop College Composition (101 or whatever) and retake it over the summer, which was much much better. I ended up having to write half as much.

I just decided to change majors. It wasn't worth the stress I was under trying to get through Communication Disorders. It was just too much for me. And now I can graduate a year or two earlier.
