So I am an undergraduate student and I have planned on going to law school and becoming a lawyer for the past few years. Lately, however, I realized that I'm not totally sure anymore. So many of friends plan on becoming lawyers and I'm like "what's the point then?" and also, I heard how the legal profession is difficult and...I guess I'm not very sure if that is the route I want to go down. Is it normal to feel this confused?

There are way too many lawyers. Many of them tell their kids not to go into law, and some honest career books reiterate this point. There are numerous blogs from law school graduates pleading with students not to go to law school. It's really not a smart idea, if you use a common sense cost-benefit analysis.

You will get dreamers on here telling you to do it, and "reach for the stars," but do some math. If every liberal arts major that can't find a job goes to law school, what are your odds of getting a job as a graduate?

Find something else. Eat some humble pie. Do a trade or drive a truck, it's a lot smarter than going to college these days.

imagine if there were no need for jobs.
that's what we should work on.
instead of specializing people in one area of study.
