Not really a question, really just a rant?

Ok, so this last semester, my acting teacher told me that he was going to be directing The Shadow Box and that I would be "perfect for the role of Beverly." So I worked my bum off to prepare myself for the audition.
At the audition he told another girl that her hair color was just what he was looking for..she's blonde and I am..well, on the other end of the spectrum. And I did not get cast.

Why did he tell me I would be perfect for the role if he was looking for a blonde? Did he think that i would turn blonde over the summer?

I am really sick and tired of all the wishy-washy people in theater.

I know I know, the reaction i am going to get is "welcome to theater"

I have been doing theater a long time and I am just getting sick of wasting my time and money on people who are just...ugh! Needless to say, I will NOT be auditioning at my college theater again
 
I know the reaction you said you were going to get is, "welcome to theater", but another reaction is mine: It's not just hard work. The other girl could've been playing very dirty. It's not just working your ass off to get used to a part you don't even know you've got. It's standing up for yourself and fighting for the part you want. I bet he was considering you but that the girl fought for her part badly. If you told him that you were preparing, he might've reconsidered.

talk to the guy and tell him i worked all summer for the part and after all the practicing i am not getting the part anymore!
