I found out today that I am having a little girl!!!!
I took the triple screen test about two weeks ago and it came back with a risk of 1/170 for Down Syndrome. I had an ultrasound today and just received a phone call from the doctor telling me that they were 3 weeks off on the gestation. My information was sent back to genetic for reevaluation and my odds now are 1/35000 for Downs. I know my baby is going to be fine. YAY!!! I am so relieved
During this stressful time of waiting and worrying, I took the time to research down syndrome, the causes, treatment, etc. I have a new found respect for the families and the children that are affected by this disorder. God bless you all.
Just wanted to share the good news and to let the pregnant women (who may be going through something similar or just stressing out for whatever reason) that everything will be ok. Just stay positive and pray. God will never put you through more than he knows you can handle.
