So a 2009 dodge caliber SE 1.8L CVT will not go past 1/4 of the way on temp gauge when driving with heat on. Heat is lukewarm at best. Ambient temp is about 20*F. driven for an hour and it never went past the 1/4 mark. theoretically, op temp should be at the half way mark.. again Heat only stay at lukewarm temp. car only has 18k miles on it. Am I looking at replacing her thermostats? one for engine, one for heater core? Im going to take it to work and plug a scanner into it and see what the temp actually is. For give the double post. forgot to add on thought: shouldnt an OE thermostat last more than 2 years? It seems odd that this would fail after 2 years.
