Not exactly a Abraham Lincoln..... hockey?

When I played hockey (roller hockey) we had a term for a player who stayed in a close proximity of the opposing goal, in hopes for a lose puck. They were called "cherry pickers". I know offsides makes it hard for "cherry pickers" in the NHL but does that terminology exist in the NHL and who are notable "cherry pickers"?

BQ* Do you have an artistic talent?
