The dynamic stack request can be changed from the default 3300k (most apps) to a higher value using TEALMOVER. The change is permanent, and is backed up in your backup folder. I then transfer it to a separate archive folder so I have both copies.
I too use JackFlash, and upped the dynamic stack from 3300 on the following apps to the indicated levels:
MobileDB4 (5500)
Bonsai (4096)
Agendus (6000, requires addl "file" to be created, just check "yes."
AcidImage Pro (8500)
Some apps like Tealpoint already change to 4096 as "stock;" AcidImage Pro is higher too I believe, but I upped it a little more. I demo'd RescoViewer a few months back; theirs was set at 16,000!! That's a little "steep" if you ask me. YOu can cause more problems than you fix if you go nuts with it.
I don't know if this will solve your problem, but you might try it. MobileDB4, running in flash with the "stack request" raised, opens faster and with less glitches. So does Agendus, and the image dragging in AI Pro improved too. Bonsai no longer has split-second "screen flicker" when loaded. Your two apps might be improved as well.
I WOULD NOT just "willy nilly" go changing apps "en masse;" it is meant to boost stability on certain "high request applications"
when launching Desktop Accessories or the like.
In the old OS4 days, an app called "TealMembrain" could tweak the GENERAL dynamic requests for ALL apps by around 1k (I had mine set to 1840 or something, plus Afterburner!), but it does not work in OS5. It DOES STILL WORK, however, to give you an iINDICATION while an app is running where you are in terms of realtime "requests." Still handy but no longer a "tweak tool."
Tealmover is $11.95 if memory serves, and a trial is available from
