Not covered by warranty

I was exoecting this.. This is where cricket makes its money.

They charged me 45 dllrs to send the phone in after only 3 months of use!!! The nokia 6165i STOPPED reading the mem card. I got a nice message today. "we hope you are enjoying your cricket service, the manufacturer has determined that the warranty does not cover the damage to the phone, thank you for using cricket!"



Yeah the phone was ina phone condom (clear case) Never got wet.. just stopped working... Im not gonna fight it since i already work for customer service for another company and I HATE waiting on the phone. its only 45 dollars.. but still i consider it a rip off. Oh well, i just wanted to vent. Sorry for typos if any.
 
Cricket doesnt make money on the warranty.

The 45 dollars is what you pay to get it swapped in the store. You are welcome to go directly through the manufacturer (send it in). The 45 is what you pay for the same day swap.

Point to remeraber. Cricket doesnt MAKE phones.
 
go to a direct store and ask them why it didn't pass warranty. there is usually detailed description accompanied by pictures of whatever it was that failed the inspection.
