Here is the scoop. My husband receives 6 weeks summer visitation with his daughter. We live in CA and child lives in IL. We moved away due to my husband's service in the Navy. We are to give mom 30 days notice before pick-up (we provide all transpo.) Last summer, things went smoothly. In Feb, we motioned the court for another hearing to revise the visitation. We are asking to drop the every other b-day and x-mas holidays for a longer summer to save on airfare cost. We pay $415/month in support. We are also asking for the support to be abated while the child is in our care. I think we may have made mommy mad and now she won't answer our calls. My husband has not talked to his daughter in 3 weeks and he used to talk to her numerous times per week. This is making things very difficult when trying to plan the summer visitation. Is there something we can do to make her communicate about this or do we just buy our plane tickets, send her a certified letter giving her 30 days notice, and hope for the best? This is so unfair to a 5 year old little girl who loves her daddy!!
