not absorbing Vitamin D

I haven't any idea why I am not absorbing vitamin D, I have been
put on 50,000 units of Vitamin D and honestly I am not
sure just what that means. My Doctor said I may have to see
a specialist. Hmmmmm:confused:

Vitamin D regulates the calcium in the blood and being deficient means your bones can become thin and brittle, if your kidneys can't store it properly you need those supplements to keep a constant calcium supply running.
