I've been married for 4 months and love my husband dearly but his mother and sister are going to drive me INSANE.
My husband and I share a household with his sister and her husband. However she expects me to do the house cleaning and has decided that I should cook for my husband every evening.
Examples are ones such as my husband and I rarely use our living room and prefer to stay in our bedroom to watch tv. Where as his sister and her husband will leave the tv in the living room on and their things strewn all about. But I am the one expected to clean no just the one room but the whole house.
My husband and I have our own bath towels and do our own laundry, but his sister expects us to wash the dozen towels that she and her husband have left laying in the bathroom.
Some of these things are ridiculously trivial...
I work late at night from 10 pm to 6 am and when I get off work I come home and go to bed and sleep from 6:30 am until 2 or 3 pm. This is roughly 8 or so hours. But my mother and sister in-law have decided that I sleep too much.
They also believe that I should cook lunch and dinner for my husband every evening. The man is 28 yrs old and can fix food for his self or at the very least tell me when he is hungry, so I can find something to feed him.
Am I over reacting here or should I tell my In-laws they need to step off or soon become out-laws in my book?
