nose pain

I use a moisturizing nasal spray and stay well hydrated the day before and of the flight. No alcohol.

Others use a OTC or Rx decongestant as well.

Good luck . . .

my dr told me that nasal spray is not suitable for me. he said i feel the pain due to the inability of equalising the pressure. I do not think so. My ears are ok. He does not seem to understand my problem.

Is it like a burning type sensation on the nasal surface when you inhale? I'd have to agree with Auntie as it sounds like a moisture/dryness issue, however I may stay away from decongestants as they might dry you out even more. Sometimes if you get the urge to blow your nose, don't, we need a protective layer of mucuous over the membranes. I've tried nasal saline sprays when my nose burns in the winter - but I don't know, it only works for a few minutes and you've got water all over. I had a buddy who actually put aquafor up there, but I don't know if that's the best idea, he said it worked though.
