NOS on Honda Del Sol ?

I want to buy a Honda Crx Del Sol V-Tec (the one with 160hp) and i want to know if with no modifications on the internals (such as pistons) i can get 200hp .. I was thinking at a Ecu tuning + Exhaust + Nitrous System .. Can this work and how much might it cost ?

DO NOT get a "performance chip". there is no such thing in the honda world, and you dont need to spend however much money just to offset your A/F ratio and destroy your car. thats a complete load of bullsh*t. if you want to get your ecu tuned, you have to do it on a dyno or with a reliable street tuner with a way of measuring a/f as well as other factors to get it done right.
you dont need to use NOS to hit 200HP on a 160HP engine, infact if you do use nos then you ONLY have a 200hp engine when NOS is being used...otherwise its still only 160. go with I/H/E, increase your CR, and get a tune: that can hit 200whp and will cost you less than $2.5k total.

Can't you just throw an h22 in there?

If you really want to put a 50 shot of nitrous in a 15 year old engine be my guess...it will not end well. Nitrous is just worthless because it's not mechanical power it's additive power. You don't have to refill a supercharger or turbocharger for it to work. Slapping on a turbo kit with a canned ecu/ecm/pcm (assuming used parts) would probably cost about the same as a decent setup as described; 800 diy labor.

Yeah, it's possible, but with all the work to accomplish it, you could probably spend less with a simple "internal" purchase and a few extras.

A professional Computer Re-Map costs $500 - $800. A complete Exhaust with downpipe and headers will run you $1500, and cheap Nitrous systems run at $400 - and is not full-time power.

Instead of all that, I would suggest swapping out your Cams for performance Cams ($200), aftermarket ECU Chip ($250), Cold-Air Intake (($150), performance throttle body ($80), Mass-Air Sensor ($80), and free flowing Muffler ($70). And when I say muffler, I mean a true performance muffler, like Flowmaster or Magnaflow or Borla. Not the import "tin-can" sounding mufflers that let people know you're coming, but don't release real horsepower.

Peace!
