North Face Backpacks: Borealis vs. Recon? Which is best for college freshman?

I am getting a North Face backpack for Christmas. I'm a senior in high school but I'm getting it to use in college as well. I have about a 15" laptop that I'll want to carry in my backpack. Opinions from current Norh Face backpack owners? Thank you!!
