is it normal to have blue viens on your breasts i am a 53 year old woman and wondered if anyone else has this its freeking me out any replys would realy be helpful

First let me tell you I'm not sure about the answer to your question, however, I've always had blue veins on my breasts and I think it's because maybe the skin is thinner?? I don't know. If this is a sudden change, you should see your doctor. Would menopause be involved? do you have regular exams and mammograms? I doubt if it's anything to worry about, but please don't take chances. ALL women need to take care of our breast health!

Yeah, if you just noticed it, your doc should see it.

Having blue veins on your breasts or anywhere else is quite normal for light skinned individuals of any age.

The term "blue blood", meaning aristocrat, comes from the middle ages. Wealthy people no longer had to work out in the fields in the sun. Being indoors most of the time they didn't tan and their blue veins could be seen through their pale skin, hence they were the "blue bloods".
