Has anyone had this done?? Any success with it?

My husband has had back issues for years - his recent MRI stated:

L4-5 - There is a left paracentral disc extrusion which is causing mild stenosis of the proximal left neural foramen as well as narrowing of the left interal recess.

L5-S1 - There is a central/left paracentral disc protrusion with a small associated lurabar tear without central or neural foraminal stenosis.

He is fighting getting the surgery and wants to cover all options before getting it. This is his next step - checking out the non surgical spinal decompression. I I'm wondering if its all hype.

I spoke to my Dr. about this and he said for my case it would not work due to having "severe Stenosis" but he was all for it if I wanted to try it. The one thing he did suggest though was if the chiropractor was so confident in the decompression then you should be able to pay as you go. I've never found one that doesn't want all the money up front. I believe this is due to the fact this is a "bandaid" that will not correct the problem just help with the relief and if it doesn't work, they still get their money. I know of a lady who it has helped incredibly than others that though it was a waste of time. Just depenRAB on the situation. Once again I would do it again but only if I could pay as I go. not 5,000 or so at once.

Also,

check out the DRX-9000 Sticky on the top. This is what I did, not sure if you're looking at the same model. I went through Spinal Aid, which I later found out was a franchise store. Just be careful and trust your instincts on this one.

There is a thread (sticky) about 4 down from the top of the first page on the Back board that has a variety of opinions on the DRX-9000. You can see what some people thought of it!

Thank you!! I wasnt aware that the compression was called DRX900. Will go check out that thread.
