I was thinking about seeing Lion King on Broadway, since I have heard raving reviews, but then I thought, "Hey, me, I've seen the movie about a thousands times by now."
Later, I then realized, "Would any good non-Disney animated films be as good on Broadway?"
So I ask, what non-Disney musical would you like to see get a stage adaption?
I for one think that Eight Crazy Nights - that traditionally animated Adam Sandler muscial from 2002 - would translate pretty well onto Broadway. Say what you will about the movie, but I think the effects and stage pieces can emulate the movie well enough. Also, toning down the gross-out jokes would help as well.
