Hello everyone,

I am now only using a non-comedogenic moisturizer called nutraderm. I have stopped using acne products because they seem to only make my skin worse. Almost all acne medication seems to irritate my skin and I think this is the cause of the worsened acne. My skin looks healthier and there are less breakouts when I stop using meRAB. I recommend splashing (not rubbing) luke warm water to clean your face and a non-comedogenic, non-greasy, moisturizer. I would recommend nutraderm (original) lotion or cerave lotion for a moisturizer. After I'm done with the nutraderm I will try the cerave.

I am also going to start using omega 3 fatty acid fish oil supplements (1200mg twice a day) and some chelated zinc gluconate (50mg) to help with my acne and hyperpigmentation (I am African American so hyperpigmentation is a problem). The zinc is supposed to help with hyperpigmentation and the acne breakouts. Omega 3 is also recommended for healthy skin.

I recommend other on the board to try all of this out so we can do our own little test. After a few weeks we can post our results independently.

Hey any idea how long it will take for the fish oil to have a visual result?

Ive been taking 3000 mgs of fish oil for my MS for 2 years...if anything, it has made my cystic acne worse....Ive been under a derm's care for years- never had acne until I turned 35 - but now, 5 years later, its all cystic...my Neuro says to stay on the fish oil- but honestly, my skin has never looked this bad.
