Non-Cliched Magical Creatures?

I am trying to write a fantasy novel, and I need to think of some magical creatures/beings that are non-cliched. Obviously, I will not be writing about Vampires or Werewolves. Or wizards or dragons for that matter. Here are some I've thought of so far.

- Vila
- Faeries (real, evil ones, not Tinkerbell fairies)
- Pegisus
- Demons/Daemons
- Centaurs (though maybe overdone since Harry Potter)
- Griffins
- Gnomes

Any other ideas???
