I have been scheduled for a 24 hour probe test for non acid reflux. My problem is that I wake up at night choking. My doctors have explained that the reflux from my stomach is causing my vocal corRAB to go into spasm and that I am indeed choking and without air when this happens. I also have sleep apnea and also use oxygen at night. My doctors say the non acid reflux is a seperate problem. They have prescribed a drug called Reglan but I have had a very bad time with it. The 24 hour probe test is being called the definitive test prior to surgery. The test worrys me as I am very hypersensitive to anything in my nose or throat. Has anyone had this test.
What can I expect? Thank you.
