Nokia X2 text prediction advice?

Am I doing something wrong? I have a new Nokia X2 phone and having trouble with useing the text prediction. For exmple....I type in H to get the word hello which does not come up, I then add it in and save it, try again pressing on the H key and just get alot of random letters?..this is happening with all the words i am trying to write?.. any ideas. thanks
