I'll be sitting at work, i click the internet icon, it searches for connections.... it finds the rogers/fido access points plus couple wifi connections. When i choose the wifi connections it trys to connect but then says no "wi lan found" How could there be no wi lan found if the phone just found it when searching for access points? i even disabled power saving..... any advice?

#2 How come i can't use a wifi connection to get my email from the internal email client.... is says "no internet server found" I can get it working if I use the rogers access point but not wifi????

In my experience, that problem usually shows up when MAC address protection is active on the router/access point. I had a similar situation with my new laptop, when I forgot about turning on that in my router setup a year ago. The computer would see the network, but when I tried to connect it would say ?no such network?. After adding the MAC address of the laptop to authorized list, it connected quickly. I did the same thing with my N95 and have no problem connecting. Check the router settings

also you could be in range enough to detect it, but not close enough to connect.

But ya, the MAC thing is most likely the case considering there are tons of wifi around in commercial places for price guns, cash registers, etc etc, and those dont work on WEP, they work on MAC.

Checked further into the settings after using the wizard (yes i know ...lol) the ports and security settings are right for that particular server rather than the default settings?

sorry rip i didn't understand your post, i used the wizard to set up my email through my rogers yahoo acct. and the access point i used is my home wifi...... both incoming and outgoing is correct, i used the right outgoing port, but what i didn't know is security, i set it to ssl/ttl, also tried off and still didn't work, the port is right also....... how come i can connect to internet through all other apps but not to get my mail????
