I was having problems with my 6682 for a few weeks and just couldnt take it any longer. I sent my phone into nokia, which i thought would just send me a refurb replacement. However, they have posted on the site (under warranty status) that they were waiting for parts. Now let me give you a time line here.

Phone recieved: 11/09/06 - Was shipped 2 day to save time, what a waste. Even said it to the nokia rep that i needed it fast, shipping fast what recommend by the nokia rep.
Awaiting parts: 11/16/06 - 7 days just to say it was broken *(!@&*! I spent weeks with it broken, comfirmed it was broken with the tech.
Received parts: 11/30/06 - ok, wtf 2 weeks to get parts?

Now...im pretty sure that almost a whole month has gone by...person on the phone said no more then 7-14 days. Well, im well over that now...I cant belive that nokia is just repairing it and having me wait for it. Since my warranty is almost up, by the time i get it back, its out of warranty. Very upset with nokia and this wait for repair. I have never replaced a phone with nokia that they havent sent a new (refurbed) phone in a few days after receiving the old one in return.

There have been several stories regarding Nokia's exceptionally long turn around time for repairing or just replacing phones sent in. Search a little and I'm sure you'll find some pretty long threads. I think there was a recent one in the Nokia forums.

Took me 5 weeks to get my old laptop back from BestBuy under their protection plan. I think people are expecting things way too quickly out of warranty work. Anything I've owned that was under warranty and was sent in for repair always took an exorbitant amount of time. Hell...I had a bimmer that took 4 weeks for simple warranty work years ago, and the dealership owned the parts department next door and kept feeding me the "waiting for parts" line. It's just par for the course with warranties.....they have our money already!

but I agree that they are a h*les.

GOD...i just got my phone back yesterday....i just looked at my phone and for some reason it turned off. I turn it back on and the battery still says full...

ARGGG...i hate to have to send it back, but wtf can i do?

The service here in the UK doesn't appear to be much better. The pop port connection on my 3250 went awol last week, no sound was coming through the headphones, so I took it into the local repair centre, the engineer confirmed the fault and said the pop port would have to be replaced but said he couldn't do the repairs there and would have to send the phone back to Nokia, so I'm told the repair time will be around 3 weeks, far too long in my opinion. I can't see how it could take that long just to repair a phone, anyway I'll wait and see what happens.
