Nokia Phones

Why has it taken this long to figure out Nokia phone and S60 are some of the very best devices out there. I have been through phones like the iphone, Bold, HTC Fuze, Curve. I forgot to mention that I HATE TOUCH SCREENS.

My first Nokia was the E71-2 Grey. The E71 is a great phone pretty much does every thing you can think of. The only design flaw is the headphone jack and the audio quality is really bad. Other then that a really great phone.

The E71 design flaws lead me to the E75 witch i think is the most polished E series phone i have used, FP2 has a few features you cant find on FP1. The E75 is a really solid device it just works for me better then the E71. The Audio Quality is up to par with other mp3 players.

The Nokia E75 is 9/10 for me and im now a Nokia FanBoy

Nokia is good. I think that S60 needs an overhaul, personally. Things like threaded SMS should be built in at this point.

Some of the eye-candy also should be modernized to match Windows Mobile and the blackberry OS as well.

afaik, the n series usually have better audio quality. i'm kinda disappointed with the audio quality of the e71 also. i also wish it had better output. it does as is, but it could be better. i'd enjoy internet radio in my truck much better.

yea i candy is always good. I had what i thought was the best Winmo device in the HTC Fuze. Looks can be deceiving cause that was one pathetic phone. It was very hard to do simple task. Just plain bad, not to mention the wobbly slider. Some time simple is better, but then again i have only been on S60 for a few months. FP2 is pretty darn good.

If the N series had a full qwerty phone id be all over it. If its one thing i have to have is decent SQ. The E75 does some what drive my PFE's earphones. I was really suprised just how well the E75 sounded.

I real think symbian is fine and capable as an OS. They just need to fix up the interface make it prettier. And add stuff like html email and threaded text. But the os is easily capable. Look at the app gravity and how beautiful it runs on s60. They just need to beef things up and enter the modern age.

I think he meant a front-facing qwerty keyboard.
I'm not a fan of the slide out keyboard either, thats why the N97 is not in my radar. It'll make me feel like I'm using a sidekick.

Not really lest see if its a decent phone first if i cant dial with one hand i dont want it. I cant wait to see the reviews even though i dont like touch screens.

Since the 5800 is extremely easy to operate one handed the n97 will be easy also. Nokia specifically talks about how they designed for one handed operation in mind.

I agree, I was very surprised when I typed faster with one hand using T9 on the 5800 than on my E51. It's really easy. Plus the bluetooth works perfectly with the car stereo so I don't even have to use any hands at all. Voice commands will suffice although I had to add last names and first and last name. When I used my son's name Cary it pulled up either the converter or the camera so I added his last name and everything works OK.

Does anyone know if the 5630XM or any of the newer nokias support fullscreen wallpapers? not just the bottom part below the clock and date, but the entire screen. thanks
