Hi. I was wondering. Is it true about phone radiation? I use my Nokia phone for hours at times. Right now, I am having slight pain in my right ear. But, I do not know if it is merely viral infection(I am trying the ear drops right now) or whether it is due to hanging on the handphone for too long. Did anyone have a similiar experience or know of someone who faced the same problem?

Is true that Nokia phone radiation affects the ears, etc?

Regards, liza123:(:help:

i dont think it is due to the radiation of the phone..there is no proof yet that cellphones are bad for our health..correct me if im wrong but i had seen a myth busters in a tv series and during their show it focuses on radiation of the cellphone and the likes...resulting to a conclusion that it is only a myth..

As teens said, there's no conclusive evidence that cell phones have any adverse effects on your health. In fact, all signs point to the opposite. That said, using any phone for hours on end could lead to pains in one's ears. Or it could be totally unrelated. My philosophy is moderation.

hi aurakles...its true moderation is the keyword also..in all things that we do ..must be done in moderations just like using cellphones..(hope it helps!:))

What!? Since when has there been a rumor about cellphones having radiations? May I know how did you know about this please? Or perhaps any sources would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

As what teens said, there still no concrete evidence that cellphones cause radiation but I think it is still better to minimize using cellphone and do not also kept on getting your cellphone near your body. It is also better to use a headset especially when calling. What do you think?

According to the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA), SAR or specific absorption rate is "a way of measuring the quantity of radio frequency (RF) energy that is absorbed by the body." The SAR level listed in our chart represents the maximum SAR level for the phone.

North American Standard. The SAR limit for mobile phones used by the public is 1.6 watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged over one gram of body tissue.

European Standard. The SAR limit for mobile phones used by the public is 2.0 watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged over ten grams of body tissue.

Lower radiation is better. In order to compare relative radiation of different mobile phones, you can only compare phones using the same measurement.

I came accross that the cell phone radiation's are measured in SAR shield? Is that true, if so whats that SAR means?
