NOkia New Browser 2.0 - WITH LANDSCAPE!!

Did you see the original date of the thread? This sucker was pulled up from a couple of months ago.

Now......for some slightly OT ranting on the ill-fated N75 and FP1:

Why doesn't this phone have FP1? Cingular is most likely is going to cancel it because of the lack of HSDPA. Madness I tell you.....

I'm not familiar with the names of the processors, but the N95 runs the same applications that were formerly "exclusive" to the N93, such as the 3D racing game, of which the name escapes me right now.

To answer your question, the E61 has 64mb of RAM, (the most of any s60 phone to date), but not the same processor as the N93.

The E61 does not have 64mb of RAM, it has 20mb like all other E-series.It has a claimed 75MB internal Flash memory (storage), which is not the same as operational ram for running applications.

edit: ps the E70 has just as much flash/data memory, 75MB and the E50 comes in at 70mb, not that far behind.

I'm not going to argue with someone who has the phone, especially since I don't and haven't. I remember someone had said the E61 had 64mb of RAM which is why it worked much better than the rest of these new devices.

I'll have to see if I can't find the source then that said the N95 has 64mb of RAM. Though the E61 may not have it, I'm fairly sure the N95 will. If not, I may have to pass.

Yeah, E61 has the same pitiful amount of ram as all other S60 devices at the minute. I had one briefly, the web browser bombed out plenty of times, out of memory, just like the N80 does. It's no better, and don't believe anyone who tells you it is.

Yes the E61 has crappy ram. A friend of mine has it and we did the whole test thing. After a nice reboot the guy had something like 17megs after startup. (Aka: available for the user for apps and the like)

That is pathetic. Especially when my ancient 6620 averages about 26-27 megs after a regular boot-up.
