Nokia N97 vs. N97 Mini

Hey All:
I'm planning on throwing my 5310 through the nearest window, so I'm working on the next phone to get. I think I've narrowed it down to the N97 platform, but I'm concerned with some of the reviews that I'm reading.
Simply put, should I go with the Nokia N97 or the N97 Mini? Has the mini fixed the issues that seem to be there in the N97? Or have the newest firmware releases fixed the bigger one's issues?
Of course, option 3 is to get neither; if that's truly the case, do you have any suggestions? I'm mostly looking for something with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, as I dislike the blackberry-style (hence, no N71).
Thanks for any advice!

The N97 and N97 Mini are last year's news.

My recommendation is to go with the new C6. Its the same N97 Mini on a much cheaper price point---there is a huge difference in price between a C6 and the N97 Mini. Its not as expensively styled, but I much prefer the way the C6 is styled on the back and battery cover, which makes it much nicer to hold. The keyboard is also nicer on the C6, its not the studded things you see on the N97 and N97 Mini but with square keys with raised indents. with a much nicer feel too when you press on it.

Don't buy either one. N97 and the N97 mini have problems with the touch screen. My friend had to replace his N97 touch screen and it cost him $80CAD. My N97 mini also have the same problem and I sold it as it (lost a good bit of money). If you just google "N97 touch screen problem" you will see what I am talking about. From all the touch screen smart phone that I've used in the past, the N97 mini was the only one that has this problem and it wasn't even a year old. I have now lost all confidence in Nokia products, seeing that the N97 was their flagship product a year ago and this happened! I also don't like the symbian OS, too redundant and not really that "smart".

Thanks for all your help! I ended up switching carriers, and went with the 5230 Neuron. I didn't think I'd like a touchscreen, but it turns out this is rapidly becoming my favorite phone.
