Nokia N97 vs Motorola Milestone

I can either get the N97 from Bell or the Milestone from Telus. Both no contract and its pretty much both $600

Don't really have that much requirements currently.

its a S60v5 vs Android v2 battle for me. which ever one thats fun to play around with, 3rd party apps. to use.

Another thing is, battery needs to be able to last very long. Meaning it should withstand many hours of watching video streams and listening to audio streams on 3G.

S60v5 SUCKS and is dead as evidenced by Nokia's moving-on to other mobile OS platforms. Android still has plenty of life to it.

The Milestone has much better hardware than the N97 all-around. The only areas it loses to the N97 in are in sound quality through the headphone-out and built-in storage memory.

Milestone is the easy choice.

My first few days of using the Milestone on 3G... yeah, not so much success on the battery life. I charged up my phone tonight and left at 9 PM for a party. Pulled out the phone many times to show off features and look things up on the web. Got home at 1:15 AM and the battery was down to 50%!

On the flipside, 45 minutes later it's charged back up to 90%.

You may want to invest in a second battery or a charge booster.

I haven't had a Symbian smartphone last a long time on battery, so I'd get the Milestone. Having tested it, Android is simply a far better UI and has some very capable apps to match. Can't ignore that 854x480 capacitive touchscreen, either.
