I've owned one for about 3 weeks now, and I have to say I'm incredibly impressed. However, if you're the "waiting" type, the N82, featuring all the same features + Xenon flash and a nicer form factor was just announced today...for Q4 this year. Sure, if you wanna be on top of the world, wait, but just like they said in Red v. Blue, "as soon as its released to the general public, it's outdated!"
Personally, coming from a Sharp 903 (3.2 megapixel, QVGA, etc etc), I was very impressed with the power, camera, and mapping service. My only complaint is that the GPS takes up to a few minutes to get a lock on starting, which is more than eating up precious battery power. Other than that, if you're not coming from a smartphone, expect your battery to last no more than a day, tops, especially with moderate use.
Ultimately, if you've got the cash to spare, go for it! If you're gonna go broke for it, just wait and get it later.
