I have a unlocked Nokia N93 10.0.025, purchased August 12th, '06.
I purchased it from samstores.com, and their warranty covers only 14 days. Since this phone is not released in the US, I have not been able to get support/help from Nokia USA. I even tried Nokia UK but they said since I live in the US, I did not get anywhere with them either.
I think my problems can be fixed with a firmware upgrade, but I'm not sure. The newest firmware, as I understand, is version 20.x.xxx, which supposedly fixes all camera issues, as well as the issue of phone turning on/off by itself.
I have tried gettign the firmware upgrade with Nokia Software Upgrade program, but it gave me errors on both of my XP machines. But, the PC Suite works on both machines, just the software upgrade doesnt even open. How can I get the firmware upgraded?
Since the phone is physically not damaged, will the firmware upgrade fix the issue? And if it doesn't, how can I go about utilizing the warranty? Do I need to contact Nokia Hong Kong?
I spent over $900 on this phone, I hope that through this forum I am able to get some guidance. THere is a store in New York called Daniel Express which I think sells N93's, will they be able to help me?
