Nokia N9 Symbian Updates and your opinion?

im planning on getting the N8 after long consideration with the Samsung GS. All i hear is that symbian is clunky and slow. But i wouldnt mind that. what are the main improvements in the symbian update. so far i know is the screen flickering between homescreens are faster.

do you think in time symbian^3 will slow be improved and perfected ? reckon Ovi store will start to expand and offer much more applications then at the moment to a similar standard as android/applestore ? ( i read somewhere ovi store only been up for around 1 year). do you think symbian^3 will be improved with regular updates ?? id like to know whatchu guys think. i read nokia/symbian^3 will try their best to provide regular updates to perfect it. anyone can back that up ?

apparently the future updates include better RAM ? do they mean physical RAM or more efficient use of RAM. how will they add free RAM ? does it only apply to those who bought the N8 after the release of the next update (Anna) ? if theres RAM upgrade, i really dont want to miss out. Should i buy it now and upgrade when the time comes OR should i wait till the updates are released and preloaded onto the handsets.

Oh another thing. the Anna/Belled updates, are they done via the automatic update tool within the handset right or are they like DIY updates consisting risks with problems with the mobile.? Also when are the release dates of the updates ?

The Symbian Anna update brings:

Split screen keyboard allowing easier text input.
Improved web browser an enhanced security features.
Redesigned icons for the new UI.
Searching has been simplified in Ovi Maps and the app has grown a new public transportation route feature.
Brand new homescreen.
New Navbar and a fresh look and feel to Ovi Store and Ovi Maps, including integration of social media services in Ovi Maps.

The older Symbian^3 models (N8, E7, C7 and C6-01) will be getting getting the Symbian Anna "in the coming months" as an over the air update. Nokia has specified no update date yet.

Over the air update means you update it via the phone itself via the automatic update tool, yes. Just remember to back up your data before attempting the update since if your updating is interrupted, you may lose your data.

You read my answer to your previous question right..?
