I was just about to buy my W995 when I discovered its nemesis: the N86. I now need to make the decision of which one I should get. Mainly I would use the phone for:
MXit (A LOT) / Facebook
Music
Videos
Internet (browsing, music/game/video downloads)
A QUICK and SMOOTH interface, without lag or bugs
Therefore, I want the phone that's better suited to my needs. I want very good battery life; the N86 has 25 hours of music playback, while the W995 has 20 hours. Surprising since the W995 is SE's flagship Walkman.
I want a phone that has good video CAPTURE and PLAYBACK capabilities. Pictures come near the bottom of the list, though it would be very nice to have a good LED light for night videos/pics.
I have always liked SE because of Walkman, TrackID, task managers, the menu system and interfaces. However, my W580i had so many problems; the keys cracked, others stopped working, and the interface collapsed. So I want the phone that is less likely to have any software or hardware problems. I want the phone that is better built, with a nice, DURABLE keypad.
I know the N86 is a smartphone and therefore third party software can be downloaded.
I know I'm asking a lot and there have been lots of other posts but none gave a clear answer. So now you know what I'm looking for, and I hope you will give me some advice. It's between the W995 and N86 so dont bother suggesting other phones.
