Nokia N8 Pre-Ordre starts today USA

again Nokia is on a path of failure in smartphones. anybody who truly understands the present marketplace will admit that. but you can believe what you will.
 
once again at the price, only the fan boys who have yet to abandon Nokia will be interested. even at $200 and 2 year contract on TMO is not going to cut it for a half finished OS. Engadet and BGR are going to savage this thing.
 
Uh, why?

1. iPhone supports 4-band UMTS/HSDPA
2. iPhone has front camera
3. so what?
4. You can download and install Ovi Maps for the E71x (need a license), why would you not on the N8?
 
Nokia-sponsored KPCB-style iFund is all they need on the app side (as if the Apple development sprang up on the platform merits, hah!) to go with N9 hardware and N8 camera / flash
 
1. N8 is peta band. 3G will work on any network (T-Mobile or AT&T). IPhone 3G will not work on any other network (US version)
2. IPhone is reason why, Samsung had to remove front camera from Galaxy
4. I said maybe.
 
i think this is more than i'm willing to pay, $549 + tax + $10 ship and we're creeping well above the $600 mark.
i'll wait around for dell and amazon to get it

So iPhone4 can play 1080p video on a 960x640 screen with the ability to output that at... 480p. Seriously?
 
Nokia messaging sucks plain and simple.


Nokia will never be Blackberry, and if you want Blackberry then by all means get a Blackberry.


Then again not everyone likes or wants push email, I want to pull whenever I get a chance. Unless things change at work, I don't ever want that.
